Flanged Ductile Iron Pipe
Flanged pipe and fittings are typical components in rigid piping systems. Flanged pipe is commonly used for surface services of water, wastewater, air, oil and other liquids that require rigid restrained joints. It is widely used in water and wastewater treatment plants, industrial piping systems and other indoor piping as well as outdoor applications such as bridges and other elevated crossings. Flange joints are not generally recommended for use underground due to their rigidity. Differential settlement or other stresses may cause excessive strain on the flange or pipe due to excessive beam loading.
Midas produces DN80-DN2600mm ductile iron flanged pipe in accordance with EN545. The maximum length of flanged pipe is up to 6m, depending on diameter.
